Year after year the mental and emotional struggle of not accomplishing your goals creates a disheartening feeling of failure. Maybe life has thrown you some curve balls unexpectedly and you can’t believe for the life of you why things are going wrong for you or you can’t seem to get on your feet. Do you feel everyone else is making it happen and you are still in the same place or worse?
Are you tired of being rejected from peers when you come up with an idea that you feel can change your life? Is hope fading because of the lack of support from those you love and you constantly buy the opinions of those who don’t have what you desire?
Sometimes we get motivated and see part of the vision because of a program on television that inspired you or you went to a workshop and all the speakers were talking directly to you, then that voice started telling you success has no place for you or they will say………..
I told you so if it doesn’t go according to your plan.
I remember when I started my first business 18 years ago, I was so excited because of the potential it had to help me live the life of my dreams while making a big difference in my family and my community. I ran and told everyone what I was going to do and you know what happened.
The only person excited about it was my mother who supports anything I do. Everyone else ran from me. These were people I shared dreams and visions with about how we could be wealthy and change our family’s history and they weren’t on board or supportive. People I supported and even lent money to. OUCH!
I knew I would have to change some things in my life and that included the people I hung around. Why? Because going forward for a while THEY seem to always be present in my life no matter where I went until I made some personal changes in my mind and attitude.
So, I have two questions…
1-Who are they?
2- If you really had a plan that was clear and thought out increasing your value, self worth and your chances of success, would they even matter? THEY are those who negatively influence you about your dreams and goals.
Listen, despite the struggles some face during these times in life when were facing uncertainty, doubt, fear or just confusion, we are still blessed with HOPE and OPPURTUNITY!
WHY?
If you have another opportunity to speak a hello, give a hug, kiss your children goodnight, help your neighbor with her groceries, then today is a GREAT DAY!
Gratitude is truly the Attitude we must live by but it starts with what you believe, where do you receive and how do you perceive.
My mentors, supporters and haters have taught me greatly. I want to share with you six key points that will empower you to persevere by leveraging principles of gratitude, focus, and experience.
I do my best to do the following each day:
1 .Stay intentional, focused and positive about my dream no matter what, which helps me see small opportunities that eventually become HUGE opportunities, manifested!
- I constantly read, study and listen to books or people I admire that help me see more value in myself and the direction I’m going. It’s amazing how we get greater revelation, connection and belief to persevere when we fully immerse ourselves into the vision.
- I take great notes and continue to go back over my learning material a minimum of unlimited times, lol, to gain more insight and connect to not only what the writer’s intention is but to also see how I can better serve not only myself but others with this information.
- I put together an action plan with people smarter than me that allow me to apply and implement with great strategy, tactics and proper execution. Here is where I test my idea with people who will tell me the truth because they are wise, trustworthy and have my best interest at heart.
- I continue to surround myself with people that can help me grow and become a better me. I was told years ago, “If you buy someone’s opinion you buy their lifestyle.” Your quality of life changes when you’re with people who have quality minds, and what they offer, I want to know!
- I show more appreciation for my responsibilities, trust God even more and continue to thank Him for my many blessings and opportunities to become who I’m purposed to be, daily!
Remember, “Your Epic Life is NOW!”
